So I took the girls to school this morning and while watching Kayla play on the Monkey Bars, I saw her slip. She fell, straddling the ladder! She hurt her little "privates" and bruised up her inner thigh. I wanted to cry when I saw it happen, but picked her up and gave her lots of love. I asked whether she wanted to stay at school or come home. She said go home and get a bandaid, then come back to school. I ended up taking her home and keeping her here. She still says it hurts really bad periodically, so I didn't want to take her back. She's been sitting on the couch with an ice pack between her legs. My poor poor baby....:( Although I know she will be up for Ballet tonight...you can't KEEP her DOWN! :)
Here she is *resting* (she was cold from the ice pack..lol)
Here's a pic of part of her injury, trying to keep them modest. (sorry the pics are kinda crappy...I couldn't get a decent one.

A laugh for my Fellow "Readers"
A friend emailed this to me. I got quite the chuckle from it, so thought I would share. Enjoy...
*One morning, the husband returns the boat to their lakeside
cottage after several hours of fishing and decides to take a
nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to
take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors,
puts her feet up, and begins to read her book. The peace and
solitude are magnificent.
Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up
alongside the woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you
doing?"*
*"Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?") *
*"You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her.
"I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading."
"Yes, but I see you have all the equipment. For all I know you
could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write
you up."*
*"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault,"
says the woman.*
*"But I haven't even touched you," says the Game Warden.*
*"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know
you could start at any moment."*
*"Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can
also think.

Where do you find the time???
ETA* I just read on my friend Aimee's blog that one of her friends lost her 13 month old little girl to a bathtub accident. Her daughter drowned. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.*
To all my fellow bloggers.....You are AWESOME! I have know idea where you find the time to sit, reflect, and write. I need to make it more of a priority. I have things happen all day long and think...Oh, I should blog about this. Then next thing I know, days have gone by and it doesn't seem important or write worthy anymore. lol
So yesterday, I told Megan & Paige to go get their shoes on, and that it was time to go get Sissy Kayla. Paige found some funky socks and her sister Aly's shoes. I was laughing the whole time I took these pics. She's so proud of her accomplishment as am I!
Here she is with "her" socks and shoes on.
Close up of her clown feet.
And just because she's so stinkin CUTE!!!

Tornado AKMPS.....
Here are the after effects of "Tornado AKMPS" (Alyssa, Kayla, Megan, Paige, & Sierra).
I don't know about the different categories, but I would classify this one as a 3. =)
Paige seeked out safety in the closet...apparently she got nice and cozy and fell asleep.
Thankfully there was no permanent damage. It only took them 15 min to clean it up, and that included making their bed. (Yep, they did it all by themselves! They really are good girls)
So it's been awhile since I posted last and we haven't done much, yet we are always busy. How exactly does that work?
Brad and the girls made a bird house. They finished painting it today and hung it up. You can't see it in the pic, but under the eaves are pink. It looks so cute and sits outside my kitchen window.
Inspired by Tiburon, we also had a "Shish Kabob" night. We do them a little different for cooking purposes. All the veggies on their own sticks, and the meat on it's own stick. (no over done veggies here) ;) Brad completed our evening by making us an Amaretto Cherry Cheesecake. (So much for a big weight loss this week..lol)
Here's a Cucumber that we grew in our garden all sliced up and ready to eat. (It was YUMMY!)
Here's Brad's Cheesecake. It was to die for Fantastic! He's the chef in our household. lol
I went to the store and came back to this.....My heart just melted...
Went to the store again and the after unloading my groceries I came across this...(I go to the store generally every other day...I am always needing milk, or something)
Brad and I were laughing so hard...
While I was at the store, Aly and Kayla each made me a cards. Aren't they the GREATEST!!!
And here's one of Paige, Megan, and Sierra. Paige has her Tinkerbell outfit on, Sierra is sitting on the floor playing with toys, and Megan is dancing in her sisters ballet shoes.
Ok...well that was our week. I'm hoping to do a day in the life of *Us* tomorrow. Thanks for looking, and I hope you are all enjoying the rest of the weekend. I'm off to shower some girls. =)

House full of Sickies.....UGH
Well, as the title says...All my girls are sick with colds. Aly of course was the first to get it (she ALWAYS is, kinda funny). So I asked her which of her friends were sick, her response....."None of my friends are sick, but Mrs. White has a cold". Her teacher is the one with the cold. Oh well....I guess we would get it sometime, so better to just get it done and over with.
As always, we have been pretty busy. I have some pics, but need to download them. Just another thing to do. :)
Here's a few that I already download of Sierra...(yeah, these were shared at J05 as well)
She's so proud of herself....
Mommy's little home girl.
CC and her big Sister/2nd mommy.

Girls spa day...
Most know that I go and get my nails and toes done, and that is my "ME" time. I get 2 solid hours to read gossip magazines, relax, talk to adults, and pamper myself, usually while drinking a Starbucks. I do this every 3 weeks.
Every so often, or for special occasions (like our trip to Hawaii, or a wedding, their birthday) I take the girls too. Usually just the older 2, but for Hawaii it was Aly, Kayla, and Megan. Today was one of those "every so often" and I made the girls an appt. On a whim....I took Paige as well.
So 4 of the girls and mommy went and got nails and toes done today! Of course in all my chaos of getting everyone in the car and to the nail place in time...I forgot my camera. I did get some pics when we got home. The girls each got to pick their own color with no suggestions from mom. (although I must admit I loved each and everyone they picked...I'm a "BRIGHT" toe kinda person. I LOVE doing FUN stuff with mine.) They each sat in the Spa Pedicure chair for their toes and at the table for their nails. They all sat there like little statues as their nails were done. (can't believe I forgot the camera...grrr)
Here's the Gorgeous fingers and toes...
Aly's Toes & Nails...
Kayla's Toes & Nails...
Megan's Toes...
Paige's Toes & Fingers...
& Sierra's Toes... (done Thursday on a whim)
Here's a group shot of Aly, Kayla and Megan's nails.
and you all know that getting your nails done is exhausting work....
Here's my FUN & FUNKY toes...(I just noticed that they match my header..lol)

Pain, Late, Frustrated, and Greatful.
Man, what a night last night. Brad called me yesterday and told me that he had rolled his ankle at work. He was walking on it, but it was swelling bad and very sensitive. He somehow made the drive home (hour and 30 min, there was a fire on the commute home). He gets home and can barely walk. I told him he was going to a Dr. So we load the girls into the car to go do our signing on a loan, while he calls his safety director, and I'm calling Kaiser to get him in. Meanwhile...lots of ice and lots of Motrin.
We get to Wells Fargo, and I went inside. It took almost an hour of sitting there with them trying to find our damn loan. Meanwhile Brad's in the car in total pain and the girls are watching a movie. Finally, they find our paperwork (next time when you can't find it, ask another person...duh)I sign it all (which mind you, I knew more about the loan and was walking her through it...again duh this is YOUR job) and thankfully, they were nice enough to walk out to the car to get Brad's signature. So we were supposed to fund this morning on this loan, but she didn't understand this one part, so she had to call this morning and then she will send it it. Thanks for nothing...what part of when I called and said I need this Saturday didn't they GET????
Brad got an appt for 8:30pm. It was now 6pm. So while on this side of town, I exchanged Aly's backpack (hers had broken already....all of 2 weeks use *insert an eye roll here on quality control) at Target, and we headed home. I figured I would call my mom to see if she could help out by watching the girls. She did after some hemming and hawing, and after asking whether it was Karrie or Missy on the phone. (Did it matter??? Yeah...with Karrie there would have been no hemming and hawing, just a "I'm on my way") I am THANKFUL however, for she helped us out for our long night. I explained that we needed to leave in 1 hour (at 7:30pm...I reiterated that many times), it was 6:30pm. I fed the girls, took a shower since I hadn't had one yet, and got the girls in PJ's and pretty much ready for bed.
At 7:40, I'm starting to get peeved, and 7:45 I called...they are almost here (about 10 min out) I even told her..."I should have left 15 min ago mom, why are you late?" There more back story to that, but simply put....she does it to me all the time. Shows up late when she's watching the girls, and I have somewhere that time is important. Example....Dentist, picking my daughter up from school (she says let the baby sleep, I'll stop by after work, don't worry), Dr's appts, When Brad and I were flying to Texas (yep, we almost didn't make it), and the 2 times Brad and I went on a date to catch a movie...(missed the movie both times). And Yeah, most of the time we tell her to be there earlier, just so she will show up on time.
So finally at 8pm, we are leaving. Now the Kaiser we are going to is in Stockton (18 miles to Stockton) however....the Kaiser is on the farthest part of Stockton from our house. Usually I give myself an Hour to get there with the girls. Alone, it takes 45 min. I drove fast and somehow got us there in 35 min. Barely made his appt.
So after barely making it, they see us, send us down to Radiology, back up to the office and the diagnosis is...............................
He has a small chip fracture in his ankle.
He has to wear an immobilizer (basically a brace to support it), lots of Motrin, lots of rest on it, and he's not supposed to go to work on Mon or Tues. I'll be lucky if he takes Monday off.
We left Stockton at 11pm and got home about Midnight. Like I said...I am VERY GRATEFUL that my mom did come watch the girls. They went to bed within an hour of us leaving, and that would have been an even longer and uglier night with 5 girls. We did take Sierra with us, but she's still in the easy stage.
So there was our boring, long, and crazy night. I went to bed at 1am, Paige got up for some reason around 3am, I consoled her, and then Sierra woke up at 4am. Fed her, and then up for the day at 7am. I'm tired, but such is life. Hope you all had better Friday evening then ours...at least it's not broken and he's walking better on it now.
I guess this blog turned into mostly a vent about my mom being late.....AGAIN!!!

The "Tude"
I SWEAR that children's attitudes are starting younger and younger!
Aly has the "Tude" like nobodies business lately. Is it from school, just her age, something that I'm doing? She found herself in quite some trouble last night when she really let it FLARE with Brad. (I must admit that I do like it when she throws it around for him to see...then he doesn't have to just take my word on it.) There's certain phrases that really push my buttons, and I know that she knows just the right ones.
I don't Care!
If you just stop talking, I'll go sit on timeout!
Leave me alone...*insert door slamming to the bathroom here*....(timeout place)
You can't make me!
No, I WON'T! (when asked to do something like go to timeout)
Then there's the whining "tude"..
I just can't take it. (when she doesn't want to wait any further for something, for instance...when she's holding the baby and I'm going pee or something)
Or..
I'm just too tired. (this one comes into play when asked to help clean up...sadly her sisters have picked up on it, not that it works for a single one of them....Mommy is tired too, and she didn't make the mess.)
I didn't do that/I didn't make that mess. (see Mommy comment above...lol)
I just don't remember getting the "tude", and boy did I have it as well, till I was older. She's 6!
I will say, that she will be quite the stand up for herself young lady, and I don't worry as much about people trying to make her do things she doesn't want to. These little ladies can drive me crazy on a good day, but they sure make my world go round. Now how to remind them that world doesn't revolve just around THEM! Hahaha...=)

First Day of School and Ballet....
Where did the week go? There are just not enough hours in the day.
We started school on Tuesday. I can't believe I have a 1st grader and a Kindergartener! They were both so thrilled and excited. I absolutely ADORE dropping them off and watching each girl hug and kiss all the "little" sisters goodbye. I'm asked multiple times in a 3 1/2 hr window "is it time to get Sissy yet?" It has been really weird for me to not have 2 of them here. I had just gotten used to Aly being gone, and now Kayla is gone as well. I actually had a small panic attack on Wed. I meet up with a bunch of moms on Wed mornings (they have late start this day, so 9:35am drop off) after dropping the girls (kids) off at school (off to STARBUCK'S baby!!!) and as I was driving, I glanced in my mirror and no Big girls! I thought for a few split seconds that I had left Kayla somewhere.....bad mommy moment. Then at Starbuck's, I'm ordering them a drink (yes..they get a drink, and usually a cookie or donut as well ;) they do however all split a venti drink in separate cups) and I actually ordered 1 for Kayla...old habits die hard for me I guess. Bonus...I got to enjoy a small Frap that was intended for Kayla. haha
Here's my other Babies saying goodbye to their "sissies".
Here's the School girls on their first day. (I wish this pic was larger...you can really see the Hazel (A) and Blue eyes (K) difference on my girls.
Aly has the same teacher she had last year (Mrs White took on 1st grade this year) and we couldn't be happier. She really encourages Aly's artistic side and has a great relationship with her, not to mention I have a nice relationship with her as well. Aly really took Kayla under her wings and showed her around when we got there. WAY TOO CUTE! She's already made so many new friends and can't wait to go back the next day oh, and loves doing Homework.
Here's my BIG 1st Grader...
Kayla has a wonderful teacher who has been at this school for 29 years. She's got the patience of a saint and it really shows. I just Lover her teaching style and the way she treats the kids. Kayla also seems to really love her. Mrs. Joseph's Co-teacher (there's morning and afternoon K classes, so one co-teacher works morning, the other afternoons) is Ms. Chapman. This was who we originally wanted, but she's an afternoon teacher, and visiting the school 3 times a day is enough for me for now. So we are getting the Best of both worlds.
Here's my baby on her first day of school....
Tuesday was all our first Ballet class for the older two girls. (this will be in addition to the gymnastics that we do on Thursday) I'm going to have to get a job just to pay for Ballet and Gymnastics alone, not to mention the shoes for ballet and the outfits. You CAN NOT do ballet with out the cute skirt mom...or so I'm told. ;)
They were in a room and we had to peak through the glass window, so the pics aren't the greatest..but here's an idea.
Kayla is on the far left, but she's behind the teacher. That's Aly in the blue and black.
Learning to walk on her "toes" gracefully....
There's Kayla...looking all laid back...
And Miss Kayla taking her turn at being Graceful...
and one last little group shot.
So between Ballet, School, Gymnastics, and every other Wed the chiropractor...I'm beat! I thought it was supposed to get easier when they went to school???
