First Day of School and Ballet....

Where did the week go? There are just not enough hours in the day.

We started school on Tuesday. I can't believe I have a 1st grader and a Kindergartener! They were both so thrilled and excited. I absolutely ADORE dropping them off and watching each girl hug and kiss all the "little" sisters goodbye. I'm asked multiple times in a 3 1/2 hr window "is it time to get Sissy yet?" It has been really weird for me to not have 2 of them here. I had just gotten used to Aly being gone, and now Kayla is gone as well. I actually had a small panic attack on Wed. I meet up with a bunch of moms on Wed mornings (they have late start this day, so 9:35am drop off) after dropping the girls (kids) off at school (off to STARBUCK'S baby!!!) and as I was driving, I glanced in my mirror and no Big girls! I thought for a few split seconds that I had left Kayla somewhere.....bad mommy moment. Then at Starbuck's, I'm ordering them a drink (yes..they get a drink, and usually a cookie or donut as well ;) they do however all split a venti drink in separate cups) and I actually ordered 1 for Kayla...old habits die hard for me I guess. Bonus...I got to enjoy a small Frap that was intended for Kayla. haha

Here's my other Babies saying goodbye to their "sissies".

Here's the School girls on their first day. (I wish this pic was larger...you can really see the Hazel (A) and Blue eyes (K) difference on my girls.

Aly has the same teacher she had last year (Mrs White took on 1st grade this year) and we couldn't be happier. She really encourages Aly's artistic side and has a great relationship with her, not to mention I have a nice relationship with her as well. Aly really took Kayla under her wings and showed her around when we got there. WAY TOO CUTE! She's already made so many new friends and can't wait to go back the next day oh, and loves doing Homework.

Here's my BIG 1st Grader...

Kayla has a wonderful teacher who has been at this school for 29 years. She's got the patience of a saint and it really shows. I just Lover her teaching style and the way she treats the kids. Kayla also seems to really love her. Mrs. Joseph's Co-teacher (there's morning and afternoon K classes, so one co-teacher works morning, the other afternoons) is Ms. Chapman. This was who we originally wanted, but she's an afternoon teacher, and visiting the school 3 times a day is enough for me for now. So we are getting the Best of both worlds.

Here's my baby on her first day of school....

Tuesday was all our first Ballet class for the older two girls. (this will be in addition to the gymnastics that we do on Thursday) I'm going to have to get a job just to pay for Ballet and Gymnastics alone, not to mention the shoes for ballet and the outfits. You CAN NOT do ballet with out the cute skirt mom...or so I'm told. ;)

They were in a room and we had to peak through the glass window, so the pics aren't the greatest..but here's an idea.

Kayla is on the far left, but she's behind the teacher. That's Aly in the blue and black.

Learning to walk on her "toes" gracefully....

There's Kayla...looking all laid back...
And Miss Kayla taking her turn at being Graceful...

and one last little group shot.

So between Ballet, School, Gymnastics, and every other Wed the chiropractor...I'm beat! I thought it was supposed to get easier when they went to school???
